Bonus Activity



Today I've learned  after the double-hulled canoe Hawaikinui was built and sailed from Tahiti to New Zealand. Clubs were set up around the country, and in 1987 a national body was formed and how long we have been using waka's

    It's great that you would want to be in a Waka Ama race! I think it would be a lot of fun. You would need to practice a lot of things before you could be in a Waka Ama race! What sorts of things do you think you would need to practice?

    Have you ever been in a kayak before? It would be similar to being in a Waka. I have been in a kayak a few times, but I always get really sea sick so don't enjoy it very much.
